When it comes to reproductive services, our hospital can provide the care you need. We provide a broad range of reproductive services to meet the needs of your animals.
- Currently we perform breeding examinations prior to breeding your pet to ensure that she is a healthy candidate for breeding. This would include OFA hip X-rays or elbow X-rays in certain breeds
- We offer progesterone testing to see when the bitch is ready for breeding
- We offer schedule C-sections and can perform reverse progesterone testing to determine if the bitch will be ready for natural birth within 18 hours
- We can perform genetic testing to ensure your pet is not carrying any abnormal genes – alternatively we can help guide you to different companies that perform this (generally a salivia test and can be done at home)
Currently we do not offer AI services, no semen collection, and we do not perform semen counts.
We are not an emergency hospital so we do try and fit in C-sections to our schedule but if your pet is not a routine scheduled C-section we cannot guarantee there will be time or staff for the surgery to be performed
